Kristen Lamb has a wonderful post on her blog entitled Want to Be Successful? Beware of End-of-the-Rainbow Thinking.

The ‘End-of-the-Rainbow’ syndrome is one of the most deadly threats to all creatives, I think. Like Miss Lamb points out, we only see the ‘glitz and glamour’ of a ‘suddenly successful’ writer or artist, and we zero in on the end result instead of the process that got them there.

Head on over to her blog for a read; it’s worth it, I promise.
